Chrome

• Click on the Wrench symbol at the top right hand side of your screen
• From the drop down list select ‘Settings’ and then ‘Show advanced settings.
• In the subsection ‘Privacy’ select ‘Content settings’ then ‘All cookies and site data’; this allows you to view the currently set cookies.
• To delete all cookies using the ‘Remove All’ button. Or to delete a specific cookie select the site that issued the cookie and click the ‘X’ or ‘Remove’ button

Internet Explorer 6, 7 & 8

• Click ‘Tools’ – ‘Internet Options’, ‘Privacy’ and change settings – up as far as ‘Block all cookies’ by moving the ‘Internet zone’ setting to the top of the sliding scale.
• For more specific cookie settings click on Advanced, check the 'Override cookie handling' button and modify the settings to suit your requirements.
• Internet Explorer saves cookies in more than one location depending on the version of the browser and the version of Microsoft Windows you are using. The best way to locate and delete them is to close the browser and using your file management software (e.g. Windows Explorer) search for a ‘Cookies’ folder from which cookies may then be deleted.

Firefox 3.5 upwards

• Click the Tools menu, then select Options and select the Privacy tab.
• In the History panel, select “Use custom settings for history”
• You can set general cookie preferences using the checkbox, or set more specific settings by clicking on ‘Exceptions’.
• By clicking on ‘Show Cookies’ you will see a display of all cookies saved on your computer and from here you can delete all these cookies.

Firefox (pre v 3.5)

• Click on Tools, then Options and select the Privacy tab.
• Select Cookies and from here you can choose your preferred settings

Apple Safari (v 3 upwards)

• Click the Cog icon or Edit on the main menu
• Click Preferences, then Security
• The ‘Accept cookies’ section allows you to specify your cookie preferences. To remove all cookies, click on ‘Show Cookies’ and ‘Remove All’.

Google Analytics

• If you don’t want your anonymous browser data to be collected by Google Analytics when you visit sites using Google Analytics, you can install an opt-out in your web browser.
